Our students enter a crucial phase of self-discovery and exploration of interests. To support this growth, we offer various opportunities that expand their understanding of themselves, the world, and their role as citizens in a democratic coexistence.
Our goal is for Kairos College students to develop their skills to make informed decisions about their learning and deepen their areas of interest. At this level, we work with Design Thinking, STEAM, Deming Cycle, and their application in research projects.
Key skills developed include:
Students express and interact socially using English as a second language in contexts that allow them to develop their linguistic skills.
Students choose an area or discipline in which they want to delve deeper and commit to systematizing their learning.
As part of their research or as part of the learning students must continue building in mathematics and literacy.
Students support younger children by creating circles of friendship, welcome, and belonging at the school.
Students participate in various activities proposed by the school to continue expanding their empathy and knowledge about Peru and the world.
Students expand their options for physical activity through physical education workshops, extracurriculars, or our competitive sports teams.
Students approach real problems from research and design thinking and propose solutions to bring thought into action and test their effectiveness.
Students are rigorous with the objectives they set and continuously evaluate them using various tools. They learn to design strategies continuously, managing their learning and responsibilities with autonomy. From this point, students are assessed through grades. By understanding rubrics, students learn to evaluate themselves using the language of grades.
Students build a solid self-awareness through knowledge and care of their body, sexuality, and mental health.
Students take on and practice daily life responsibilities (buying, cooking, cleaning, washing, repairing, etc.).
Students face the complex issues they investigate and the knowledge-building expectations proposed by the teachers.
